How to really reduce your pigmentation: the Lumecca IPL Skin Rejuvenation Facial

Let’s talk pigmentation. A skin concern that can often be hidden or covered by makeup, but can still be just as damaging to your skin as well as your confidence. Pigmentation can appear in many forms, and fortunately, there are many forms of treatment too. At Rebecca Jade, we’ve invested in the latest, most effective treatment for pigmentation and skin rejuvenation.

The Lumecca IPL Skin Rejuvenation facial offers advanced therapy to the skin using the same Inmode machine as our unparalleled Morpheus8 - that’s when you know the results are guaranteed. Pigmentation can be one of the most stubborn skin concerns - and whilst medical grade skincare and mild chemical peels can work wonders to reduce the signs of pigmentation, it’s more advanced skin treatments that make the biggest difference. This is where the Lumecca IPL Skin Rejuvenation comes in.

If you’re experiencing uneven skin tone, it’s usually in the form of brown or red/pink colours. Age spots, hyper-pigmentation and melasma are forms of pigmentation that can appear in shades of brown, usually in patches on the face and body. Spider veins and rosacea are pink or red in colour, and usually appear across the cheeks, nose and chin on the face. These are not types of pigmentation, but they do create uneven skin tone and can be distressing to those experiencing it. But stay calm - no need to stress! We’ve got you covered…

How does the Lumecca work?

The Lumecca IPL laser uses photo-thermolysis (it’s a mouthful, we know) to direct wavelengths of light towards any areas of pigmentation. The pigments absorb the light and are then destroyed. This treatment is one of the most powerful and effective for this type of skin concern, which is why the areas of concern are usually diminished in just one session. We do recommend a course of sessions for desired results.

What happens after?

After the treatment, your skin can feel slightly warm and sensitive as expected after laser therapy. Having said that, these side effects are minimal and don’t last long. We recommend waiting at least 2 full weeks before analysing the results from the treatment, as some areas of pigmentation can get darker before the body removes them naturally.

What will my skin look like?

Good news! After just one treatment, your skin will look clearer, brighter and smoother in tone and texture. Reducing pigmentation and red veins will also allow your skin to appear more youthful, so don’t be shocked if everyone asks if you’ve had something slightly more invasive (we wish!).

So, if pigmentation or rosacea/thread veins are your biggest skin concern, then the time is now to book in for your first Lumecca IPL Skin Rejuvenation facial. If you’re unsure whether this treatment is right for you, then contact us for our expert advice!
