Why Jane Iredale makeup is actually good for your skin!

Makeup and skincare tend to be two completely different topics of conversation, that although part of the same beauty industry, they can often be each other’s hindrance. Whilst many skincare lovers have a soft spot for makeup too, we can often find ourselves feeling a little hypocritical as we’re 5 layers deep in foundation, filling our pores with highlighter so bright that NASA can see us as they’re landing on Mars. But blocked pores are still cute when they’re glittering, right? Wrong.

Thankfully, it’s 2022 and things have finally developed, so is now the time to combine beauty and skincare in a way that’s never been done before?! Ok maybe it has been done once or twice, but not the Jane Iredale way. That’s right, we’ve discovered a makeup brand that is not only suitable for post-treatment skin (and we mean, immediately treated), it’s actually good for your skin. Here’s why.

We never thought the day would come where we can provide our clients with a makeup brand that benefits their skin in more ways than one. Jane Iredale is a clean beauty brand that has paved the way for natural makeup since its evolution 25 years ago. Every single product within the brand has been created with the purpose to only nourish and benefit the skin, without the use of any harmful ingredients that negatively impact the face, and in fact the environment.

The brand itself has banned any harmful parabens from its ingredients list, eliminating talc, synthetic fragrances, carmine and other ingredients that are commonly used in beauty products that cause irritation to the skin or are unable to be used by Vegans. Jane Iredale is the one-stop-shop for naturally formed, environmentally conscious, sustainable beauty. Not only are the products created using the thoughtful ingredients, the brand itself gives back to its local communities by supporting Farmer’s Market’s through sponsorships and aids the environment too, by planting trees, flowers and vegetables in the Jane Iredale gardens.

If that doesn’t sound dreamy enough (and you haven’t even heard much about the makeup yet), the Jane Iredale products are hypoallergenic and Dermatologist tested, to ensure they are suitable for even the most sensitive of skin.

So how can we say that these products are actually good for the skin? Well, given their complete lack of toxic components, these products are gentle and sensitive enough to be put on the skin straight after any facials or treatments. The mineral features within the products use the latest technologies to offer full SPF protection, whilst providing full coverage. Iredale’s foundation, contouring and concealer products are buildable, resulting in a tailored look for all skin types, yet also providing a lightweight feel on the skin.

One of the best things about the brand is that it is suitable for all ages. Mature skin and immature skin are two skin types that need makeup that is soft, gentle and light. When skin is young and prone to congestion, oiliness and sensitivity, it desires lighter makeup that won’t clog pores or look ‘cakey’ in texture.  Mature skin tends to also benefit from lighter, mineral makeup, as it’s able to smooth lines and wrinkles without looking too heavy. The Jane Iredale products provide a glowing, seamless finish – with the added benefit that their foundation is a base, concealer and primer all in one! Perfect for mature skin type, where the less products used, the better. Just take a look at our Jane Iredale make-over on mature skin, here!
