VeinAway Aftercare

Below is the usual occurrence:
- Skin will feel warm but should calm quickly, this can vary due to individual skin type and reaction to treatment. The days following treatment some larger vessels may appear to be visible – this is a normal occurrence. The vessels will gradually fade and be broken down by the body. Some redness, dryness and tiny micro crusts could be present for a few days or longer which is normal. Further treatments can be applied
after 4-6 weeks. You may require more than one treatment to achieve optimum results. Gentle washing of the skin and the use of good quality mineral make-up on the face is permissible.

- For the first 48hours:

o Do not keep touching treated area
o Wash skin gently, no scrubbing or rubbing
o Avoid stretching the skin
o If you are prone to flushing (Rosacea) avoid alcohol and spicy foods
o Avoid excessive exercise, nothing to cause sweating or dilation of the
capillaries
o Avoid direct sun exposure for a minimum of 48hours
- After Healing has occurred:
o Always protect the skin with an SPF (We recommend a pea size of Environ’s
RAD SPF 15 to be worn every day - £24.00). Harmful UV radiation is always
present in daylight (no matter what time of year or weather condition). UVA
can penetrate glass, you are therefore not protected in your home, office or
car!
o Avoid harsh cleansing, steaming or exfoliation of the skin. Gentle effective
products such as Environ’s C-Quence Cleanser - £46.00 are advised. Use tepid
water on the face and moderate temperature on the body in bath and
showers etc. Avoid squeezing and pulling the skin.

- Avoid sunbeds, saunas and steam rooms.

CryoPen Aftercare

Ensure you take following precautions for the next 48-72 hours after treatment:

• Do not sunbathe or use other heat treatments (sunbeds, sauna, steam)

• Do not take hot showers or baths

• Do not swim

• Do not apply makeup to the treatment area

• Do not apply soap, perfumed products or heavy moisturisers to the treatment area

• Do not touch or cleanse the treatment area

• Do not pick at any scabs which may form It is common to experience redness and swelling after treatment. Apply aloe vera as required over the treatment area for the next 72 hours. Always apply with clean cotton wool, not fingers. You can also keep your aloe vera in the fridge for an extra cooling effect which may help to soothe the skin.

Always ensure that you are applying SPF to the treatment area, regardless of weather conditions. Gently cleanse around the area and pat dry with a clean tissue/towel. The treatment area may appear darker after your session. Any scabs or crusting which forms may take anywhere from 10-30 days to drop off. If the treatment area is below the neck, this can take up to 6 weeks.

Total skin healing (fading of residual redness) may take up to 3 months. Follow your therapists’ instructions for treatment. We recommend making a review appointment for 6-8 weeks after your session to ensure optimum results.
